Hi Everyone
A narrow loss against Gloucester in the Prem cup but a most enjoyable game and a heroic effort by the young Sharks team. Speed of their backs proved to be decisive in the end. Exeter on the
14th is the next game to look forward to, along with a number of Sharks playing for England and (hopefully) Scotland over the next couple of weeks.
Great great news to start with! We now have over 500 members! It was only a couple of years ago we had less than 230. Thank you to all who persuaded friends and family to join and let’s try and get
to 600 now. The Beanie hats have proved to be very popular and we will be at the Exeter game to hand some more out.
If you haven’t renewed yet, just email membership@salesupporters,co.uk and we will send you details of how to renew your
membership.
“Who’s The Boss” was one of our most successful events to date and huge thanks to everyone who attended. Our next one is “Sharks on Tour” on December 2nd, at Morson Stadium, Heywood Road.
7.30 start, with the bar open from 7.00. This week we will hopefully know which players are attending so check all our socials to see who you can chat with, grab a photo or an autograph.
Some of you who were at “Who’s The Boss” may have seen a young lad doing several interviews and taking pictures/ videos. We were helping him out with his university project on “Northern Rugby
Matters”, He has sent us the finished article and is more than happy for us to share it. Simply click on the link below for a very interesting watch.

The Fun Bus to Northampton Saints on December 20th is filling up nicely. There are still some places left. Its only £25 for members, £30 non- members. Email funbus@salesupporters.co.uk if you fancy a trip to cheer on the lads at Franklin Gardens.
Finally, we have a couple of places left if there are any under 16 members who want to be part of the “Guard of Honour” on Friday 14th November. Email events@salesupporters.co.uk quickly if any children, grandchildren or god children want to take part. And despite a few requests from the
grown-ups it is under 16s only!

Hi Everyone
Sarries is a dim and distant memory now and we move onto Leicester with hope of a win to get the season back on track. Then we have the Prem Cup against Gloucester when you will have another
opportunity to collect your FREE beanie hat.
Following the survey responses, we can also offer an event exclusively for under 16 members. The first 20 to register interest at events@salesupporters.co.uk will have the opportunity to form the “Guard of Honour” at the Prem Cup game against Exeter on Friday 14th November. If
you want your kids / grandkids to take part and welcome the team as they run out onto the pitch please respond by Friday 7th November.
You will obviously need a match ticket, which start at only £10 for adults and £5 for juniors. Don’t forget your season tickets are valid for this match.
Thanks to everyone who turned up for “Who’s The Boss”. Fantastic attendance and feedback and probably one of our best events to date. We have “Sharks on Tour” on Tuesday December 2nd at
the Morson Stadium, Heywood Road. 7.30 start, with the bar opening at 7.00. We should know in the next week or so who will be attending from the Club.
Northampton Saints is always a popular away fixture and we are running a Fun Bus on Saturday December 20th. It's already filling up and is only £25 for members, £30 non- members. Email funbus@salesupporters.co.uk if you fancy a trip to cheer on the lads at Franklin Gardens.
Finally, you are all hopefully aware we embarked on a “digital adventure” a few months ago. Keep checking all our social media channels, including You Tube, to catch episodes of “Stan's
Shorts”.
Katy Daley-McLean talks about women's rugby at Sale Sharks and the Women's World Cup, and Alex Sanderson chews the fat with Steve Hanley regarding recent results and the challenges of
international fallow periods:

Do hope you will find them interesting and entertaining and feel free to let us have any ideas for future episodes.

Hi Everyone
Great win on Thursday against Gloucester and great to get the bonus point, although we did leave it a little late. George Ford was man of the match, but a few of the lads must have run him close, particularly Nathan Jibulu. Don’t forget Nathan will be at our “Welcome to the North” event on Tuesday 30th September, so come along and hear his views on the game and playing for Sharks.
If meeting the new players isn’t reason enough to come along, the Club have very kindly offered 2 tickets to the Players Lounge at the Newcastle Red Bulls game. So everyone who attends the event tomorrow night will go into a draw with a chance to win the tickets. 7.30 at the Morson Stadium, Heywood Road. The bar is open from 7.00
And the good news continues. Following on from the Sale Sharks Sponsors Day draw, we have yet another event for you all.
For 2025/26, we have sponsored Evan Mintern of Sale FC. As part of the sponsorship package, we have been given 2 places on Saturday 11th October 2025 at Sale FC’s game against Bishop Stortford.
You and a guest can enjoy an excellent two course meal, listen to ex-England international and Sale Shark legend Steve Hanley asking questions of at least one of the first team and a member of the coaching staff and you will also hear from the president of Bishops Stortford.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply email events@salesupporters.co.uk by 12.00 noon on Friday 3rd October.”
We will make the draw and let the lucky winner know immediately.
If you are successful in the draw and subsequently cannot attend, you cannot give your places away. It will be redrawn.
Newsletter September 2025
Hi Everyone
Best we try and forget Friday’s pre-season game, but it was great to be back at Heywood Road. Fingers crossed it was much better against Bristol and then
we move onto the first Thursday night fixture against Gloucester. At least the traffic should be a bit easier to navigate than a Friday night.
Membership fees are due on 1st October. So there is still time to check your standing order
is set up or bank transfer ready to go. This month we will also be announcing the ability to use PayPal for all payments. Please note though a standing order or bank transfer is the preferred method
of payment.
As you probably know, all paid up members receive a free SSSC beanie hat. You will be able to buy
additional hats for only £10.
Finally on membership, throughout the season we will be holding draws with a chance to win signed shirts or hospitality at Sale FC. Please help us boost
membership by encouraging all your rugby friends to join.
Most of our 2025/26 events are now agreed, with the first one on 30th
September – “Welcome to the North”. Hope you can all attend. We had a couple of disappointing turnouts last season, and the danger is if we cannot get supporters to attend, the
club will be reluctant to send players along. All events, apart from the dinner, are free for members and only £7 for non-members. So please try and persuade friends and family to come along (see
banner below)
Please note the date announced for the Annual Dinner will change. We are working with the club to agree a new date and hopefully can announce
a new date very soon.
Thank you to everyone who replied to the survey and thank you to those who congratulated the SSSC committee for the job they do. Its not always easy but
rest assured we will always try and do our best whether it be events, fun buses or helping fans any way we can. There were a couple of very interesting suggestions made, and we are meeting with the
club next week to discuss these further. Meanwhile, buses are definitely running to Tigers and Saints. So, if you want to reserve your place, email funbus@salesupporters.co.uk
Finally, we have made slow progress on our SSSC podcast. We do have some content, but we are really struggling with editing. Would be great to think we can
finally get something out but if any of you has editing skills, please try and give us a hand if you can.
Many thanks and hopefully see you soon or at the Gloucester game.
