SALE SHARKS 25 v 24 Edinburgh

The third away friendly of the season was a hard fought and dirty game of rugby, but it was also a third successive win. Let us not forget the psychological benefits of winning, even in the worst conditions. The team will need to take Doncaster apart clinically on friday at Edgeley, but with their frist home crowd of the campaign, that may well be excatly what they do.

Wakeley extended his scoring with another try, converted by Larrachea. Valentin Courrent followed with a penalty, and later with an unconverted try of his own. Larrachea scored a penalty of his own from the right touch line. Bloodied prop Sebasiten Bruno went over in the second half, converted again by Larrachea.

The Scots were determined and posed a serious threat, but the Sharks were not in the feeding frenzy visiting fans will expect on friday.

Points table for the first two pre season friendlies:
1  Larrechea - 30 points
2  Courrent - 16 points
3  Wakeley - 10 points
=4  Anglesea, Bruno, Hanley, Lobbe, and Lund 5 points
